mine mine mine! new monitor for kriheli. joy. yay. 18.1" LCD badass. which means bye bye to the 19" CRT. as i type... there is 7 hours left to the auction. if it doesn't meet my reserve price i will list it again and give it another try (and i will post the link here, just in case anyone wants the monitor that just got replaced). this is a pretty badass monitor as well... but CRT monitors screw with my eyes. in the 6 or so years that i have put into the business of graphic design, my eyesight has slowly degraded. i used to have 20/20... now i squint a lot. i am afraid to even find out my current eyesight results. but switching to the LCD gives me a flat panel for both my mac and pc now... so its less strain on the eyes. ok i will shut up now.

i'm about to enter some poetry contest (i actually opened up some unsolicited email and was intrigued by the cash prize) at poetry.com. now i don't think i have the material that can compete with seasoned poets but its worth a shot if the entry is free (i know i know... nothing is free... they are probably using my email and selling it to some list, bla bla...). nevertheless, i am giving this thing a shot. it has a 20 line maximum as the only real constraint. with that, i reviewing some of my work and i am trying to find something worthy. perhaps some of you people can help me here. if you tell me which one you feel the most (under the 20 line max), it would be greatly appreciated. i would hate to submit something out of bias... because i have my preferences too... and some pieces that i like more than others, don't exactly fly over well with most people. i dunno. help a whiteboy out. i got till the second week of september to decide. if you haven't read any of my stuff... it is a lot more interesting than this blog (at least i think so). so give it a look... and help me out. (note: my poetry is listed in sets on the right column towards the bottom). thanks.

susan was asking why i haven't smacked my site of late. this one is for you, woman! i would like all of my crazy visitors to give susan's site a peek. she is one of the nicest, coolest people you will ever meet... if you ever have the luxury of meeting her, that is. give her a shout... say kriheli sent ya!

ok apparantly this service i just signed up for is asking that i throw a bunch of particular keywords up in my blog so it could get recognized by search engines. i doubt this is really gonna do anything but here goes anyway: google! dapop! this is my blogchalk: english, united states, new york, rego park, richard, male, 26-30! ok... that's the end of that. thank you for reading a blog today that makes virtually no sense. moving on...

i am spent. i dunno what i did to deserve the level disrespect that i have been dealt of late. but no more. really.

end of personal rant.

"what makes men, claim that u're a friend
when u're not at all?
they knock u down and then.
they lift u up again, just 2 c u fall...
but like a bird, i'll keep on singin
a song that never leaves ur mind
if nothing else u've taught me one thing,
never cast your pearls b4 the swine"

another great article on one of my music heroes, mike patton. thanks to dave for the link. if you are open to experimentation with music, i strongly recommend works by patton. if anything, you should really check the article out.

12 years for that, huh? this world is damn weird. so, this nutjob will be back on the blood circuit theoretically at 29 (after he is ...um... rehabilitated, behind bars). a prime age, no? young'in has read one too many anne rice novels. how about getting this guy some professional help -- if that means anything in this world. i hope he meets some religious folk in the slammer... now that would be pretty damn interesting to watch. ok... i'll shut up now.
