my thoughts on the rush limbaugh debacle on espn's sunday nfl countdown: you are a fool, rush. whether or not his agenda is to stir up things, there is no place for such incapacity. limbaugh supporters (i know you guys are out there) should be ashamed of themselves (that is, if they agree with his ignorance). the sciolism of conservatives is intolerable and this man should really step down now. though, much like john rocker, i believe everyone has the right to their own opinion, i also believe that everyone has a right to a degree of tact. and this latest outwardly racist behavior should not be tolerated - and has no place in nationally televised programming -- or anywhere in this world, for that matter.

can anything be more unstable than a damn windows-run pc? i am having yet another crisis with the pc getting the "blue screen of death" and not allowing me to do anything. i am performing disk checks, hardware checks, yadda yadda... and nothing is working. i have gone to my pc expert buddies who all think its one thing or another. and over twelve hours later i still dont have an answer and i am still staring at a blue screen. i don't get it. i never have problems like this on my mac. i have been a mac owner/user for seven years now and i have yet to have an all out blitz like this. i once had to wipe my drive because i improperly installed some bad files, but damn... if i did that on a pc, i would probably have it defecate on me. a big F.U. goes out to dell computer for making these pieces of sh*t.

did it really take an extensive survey/research to figure this piece of genius out? congratulations cnn, you get the "no shit sherlock" award. now, i know that a good portion of the population is not up to par with the latest technologies and all, but come on now. i swear, journalism, especially for the bigger, more reputable publications and news wires has gone to hell. i can't believe some of the things that are being approved to go to press. there are probably high school kids that can write more compelling pieces than the trash i am fed daily. i can be partial towards urgent stories that have strict time constraints propelling a media mad dash to being the "first to break the story." i see how quality is sacrified there... and its somewhat understood. but research pieces? ... please! they need to be a bit more polished, well thought out and executed eloquently. yeesh

other than the blessed popeyes, i am not one to usually rave about fast food. but let me just say... those mcdonalds mcgriddle breakfast sandwiches are pretty darn good. now of course i wouldn't recommend gorging oneself with fast food, but if you are on the go, and have no other really good options... i would tell you to give the sandwich a shot. personally, i am not happy i found these things. i need to stay away... far away.

anyone visiting this site know anything about mountain bikes? i am looking into purchasing one very soon and would like to know if this is a good deal. it appears as if it is a pretty hot deal, considering a lot of bikes i have been interested in have eclipsed the $500 mark. and i am not about to throw down that much for something i will be using leisurely. it wont be used on hardcore rocky areas... more like dirt trails/paths in flushing meadows park in queens, and everyday pavement. if i am getting ripped off or you know of better deals, this is your chance to dissuade me. also a big birthday shout out goes to tamara.

a quick happy birthday shout out to my mother! she rocks. you all should check out her website which yours truly put together for her artwork a few years ago. why not buy a poster from her? it would make her pretty happy. in other news... all the poetry sets that i have completed have been redesigned and are now live. took a while but i haven't had the time to work on this all the way through, but i pulled an all-nighter last night to knock it out. now i have to work on getting my fiction up. derek sent me this bit of sad news from the music industry. what a mess.

it has been a little over three months since i drastically changed the look of this site and aside from a couple of people i really haven't had any feedback on the look of this site. can you guys tell me if you like what you see... or if you don't like what you see? email me any suggestions on things you would like me to add (or subtract, for that matter). the intent on this redesign was to make this site more personal and feature more of my writing and artwork. i have been redesigning the individual poem sets in the "words" section and i am almost finished with that. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

the record industry is clueless. cnn reports that cd's will die out the way vinyl has. can't these industry folks see that charging upwards of $15+ for a music compact disc is an absolute raping. when internet file-sharing began, people were a lot more unwilling to fork over that obscene an amount (and in turn, put the spotlight on the disgusting practices of the record industry). you guys can make it up. really you can. how is this for a suggestion... start selling cd's at $5-$7 max for new cd. and cheaper for older cds. NO ONE wants to go into a store to find an old cd with two or three tracks that they are looking for and plop down $18 for it! now if it was $4, you have yourself a sale, folks. and quite possibly.. you have yourself an industry again.

a little while back, i was greatly disappointed in the discovery channel's coverage of the fanatical egyptologist joann fletcher's claim that she found the mummified remains of the great nefertiti. thankfully, mr. zahi hawass attempted to clear the air. what a mess. if anyone watched the special on discovery channel, it was very apparant that fletcher was the fanatical type that would manipulate evidence to support her claim. most of the theory was baseless, and it saddened me that discovery fell victim to it. in other news... get ready for the big show in 2014. funny how this comes less than 24 hours after i picked up a copy of deep impact.

my foot is now at 95% as i still feel slight discomfort here and there - but i have resumed everyday activities and its really not in the way of anything other than any serious running. i feel i can run with it, but i'd rather not put any more pressure than i have been of late. things here have been a bit stressful, trying to make ends meet. four days in beantown served as a slight departure from the chaos that has been my summer. as i welcome autumn, i will be aggressively pursuing the sale of my apartment and other investment opportunities going into the new year. so... anyone here wanna buy my pad? :)
