earlier this evening, i had the honor of briefly meeting one of my writing heroes, chuck palahniuk, at barnes & noble union square promoting his latest piece of madness, haunted. not only is this man a gifted, inventive writer, he also proved to be great, personable guy -- sticking around long after he was scheduled to, in order to meet everyone (over 800 people in attendance) who wanted to have their book signed. refreshing to see. i highly recommended all of his work if anyone here reading my wack-ass blogs hasn't yet experienced them. before i forget, a quick shout out and major props goes to the one person dropping in on the chuck tour purely out of curiosity, reading a salman rushdie novel, yet staying for the entire event, despite itching to leave. glad you were able to enjoy it.
